Montiboli Cultural, continues to fill every corner of the hotel with art.
As the month of July advances, we offer you a small summary of our Montiboli Cultural initiative, which at this moment has reached the midpoint of its 2024 edition. Since last May, different international artists residing in the province of Alicante have visited the facilities of the Hotel Montiboli with the desire to share their works with us, enriching the experience of everyone who visits this paradisiacal piece of the Costa Blanca with a new attraction.
After the visit of the artist Marita A. Guardia and her colourful female portraits that left no one indifferent and that you can still find on our social networks (@hotelmontiboli), now it is the turn of Natalia Caballé, director of corporate image and institutional relations at Servigroup Hotels. Her work is as linked to this place as her own experiences, and for all of us who make up the Hotel Montiboli it is truly special to have someone from home for such an important occasion.

Nartelia, as she is known in the artistic scene, is a true lover of all artistic expression and, endowed with great sensitivity, she takes advantage of this virtue in every facet of her work and life, as she faces them in a personal and creative way.
A fan of drawing and painting since she was very young, Nartelia initially developed her activity and artistic growth intuitively and self-taught. She later confesses to having discovered photography - of which she is also a great fan and has a natural talent - and, using a reflex camera and a small home laboratory, she experimented with different photography techniques that would be the object of her first exhibitions.
It was not until she had completed her studies in Economics and Business that she took another step in her artistic side by enrolling in the first class of Fine Arts at the Miguel Hernández Faculty of Altea, a municipality known as the white pearl of the Mediterranean that has served as inspiration, for artists around the world, for decades.

There, Nartelia came into contact with other forms of artistic expression and met the group “Pintoras de Benidorm”, of which she is still an active part of today. It is an independent group that was born in 1995 made up of women painters, mostly professionals, each one with their own personality and style, and all of them residing in Benidorm or surrounding areas. A space that serves as a meeting point in which to share the different artistic concerns of its components.

Her latest work, which we can enjoy at the Montiboli Cultural, is titled “Other worlds.” Nartelia explains: “in it, I use elements made with watercolour and graphite techniques, which are digitized to create digital collages that I print on canvas in a limited series.”
The theme of the exhibition revolves around imaginary worlds born from the author's mind, represented by planets with colourful nuances and textures typical of the watercolour technique "that fascinates me for their expressiveness and fluidity," adds Nartelia.
All the elements that appear in her works, and that remind us of galaxies, space or the firmament while evoking the terrestrial natural world, are unique and different, which gives us an idea of the visual richness of her works, that during this month of July, will illuminate the walls of the common spaces of the Montiboli Hotel.

In the words of Nartelia: “no planet is the same as another, each one is unique, but they complement and enrich each other. It is a dreamlike environment where trees become co-stars and provide shelter to enigmatic characters who seem frozen in time. There are other worlds but they are in this one…".
All of this is, in short, a reflection on the place we occupy in the many worlds in which we inhabit, not only the real world, but the worlds imagined, dreamed, both desired and feared, and that cohabit in our minds creating experiences that can be as intense as reality itself. As Nartelia explains, each piece becomes a suggestive stimulus for the viewer with the objective that they convert it according to their own experiences into particular and intimate emotions.

The works exhibited at the Montboli Cultural under the name “Other Worlds” arrive after having visited different galleries and exhibition halls both in our country and in France, some examples being the International Hall of Visual Arts in Barcelona, in 2023 or the ART3F Hall of Contemporary Art in Paris in February of this year. To all this we must add Nartelia's extensive exhibition career with more than 40 exhibitions behind her and different awards and recognitions for her work.
With all this, we hope we have awakened your interest and activated your imagination so that you can enjoy this experience that is a source of pride for us on your next visit to the Montiboli Hotel. We look forward to seeing you!
