Villajoyosa

This picturesque village, in the province of Alicante, has always been closely related to the Sea and has many charms including its fish auctions in its harbour, the fortifications in its old town and the intense coloured facades of its houses, as well as its Gothic-Catalan church and the ruins of its castle.

The guided tours to its chocolate museum are also another important attraction due to the village’s chocolate tradition that mounts to the XVII and XVIII centuries.

Its Moore and Christian Fiestas (from 24th to 31st July) with their bright, colourful and singular parades and maritime disembarks are considered of national interest.
